The “Mindfulness Based Living Course” (MBLC) offers a structured, secular approach to mindfulness training that caters to individuals at all levels, from novices to seasoned practitioners seeking to rejuvenate their meditation practice. Rooted in the foundational work of Rob Nairn, a prominent figure in adapting meditation for Western audiences, this course emphasizes two core components of mindfulness: attention and attitude, both anchored in compassion.
Spread over eight sessions, the course design is experiential and participative, integrating guided mindfulness practices, theoretical presentations, and discussions on contemporary scientific research. This holistic approach aims to deepen personal insights and enhance your engagement with both yourself and your environment. Participants will cultivate skills to be present, respond with compassion, and critically examine their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, ultimately fostering healthier relationships both inwardly and outwardly.
The MBLC is developed by the Mindfulness Association UK and adheres to the best practices established by the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA). Additionally, Mabel, who facilitates the course, brings expertise in trauma-sensitive mindfulness (TSM), ensuring a heightened level of care and attention to participants’ well-being throughout the training. Whether you seek to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, or simply connect more deeply with your experiences, this course is designed to support your personal and professional growth.
